iPAD users advice notice :  Web GL must be enabled in Safari 
Do this to enable web gl. Go Safari>settings>advanced>feature flags> Web Gl timer queries turn on = green slider.
iPad users must Play wordchain only using the CHROME browser to avoid webgl context lost black screens.

To overcome the Web Ggl problems with iPad and iPhone IOS tech, we have built an App version for Wordchain 1.

You will need to download this from the Apple App store, for free. Then use your subscription licence to play wordchain 1, by logging in with your username/email and password as usual.

The tech in our games will know you are an iPad user and look for the APP on your device.

Without the APP you will still get WEb GL problems.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 2014 iPads (and earlier)

Wordchain for Web is not currently supported on 2014 and earlier iPads, like the iPad Mini 2 and the original iPad Air.

Apple discontinued these models in 2017, and since 2019 has only offered security updates to iOS 12.5.5 (the highest iOS these iPads support - as of 1st Feb 2024 the latest iOS for newer iPads is 17.2)

Wordchain began as four apps launched in 2017 for iOS and Android devices.

The apps are part of Christchurch literacy expert Betsy Sewell's "Agility with Sound", a comprehensive programme for building capable readers.

Wordchain for Web brings the success of those apps to most laptops, desktops and devices with a web browser.

It also introduces a subscription model that allows us to lower the price point and make it more widely available.
